How to read this wage determination

The wage determination shows base hourly rates and fringe rates by classification. You must pay the total (base + fringe) as the floor. This can be cash wages, qualifying benefits, or a mix — but the combined value must meet or exceed the total. If the fringe column shows '*', this means the rate is defined elsewhere (often a collective bargaining agreement). Never treat '*' as $0 — you must locate the correct source to calculate the full obligation.

Counties listed are where these rates apply. Construction type (building, residential, heavy, or highway) dictates which rates to use. A highway project in County A uses different rates than a building project in the same county. Always match the project type exactly.

The revision number (e.g., "Mod 5") tracks updates. Only the wage determination attached to your contract is legally binding — even if newer versions exist. Verify the revision number in your contract documents. PrevailMap caches federal WDs for reference, but your contractual WD controls. This is informational, not legal advice.

What this means for your payroll

On covered federal jobs, you must pay the full prevailing wage (base rate + fringe) to laborers and mechanics weekly. The obligation is the total rate — you can meet it with cash wages, bona fide benefits, or a mix. Every week, submit certified payroll (federal form WH-347) with a signed Statement of Compliance. Missing either is a violation.

If you’d rather not prepare the WH-347 and Statement of Compliance manually, WageSeal (from our team) generates them automatically. This isn’t legal advice — always confirm requirements with your contract or advisor.
